The newspaper was started on 1 November 1988.The news paper is now led by Zahid MALIK and his 3 sons and a daughter Faisal Zahid Malik, Gauhar Zahid Malik,Omar Malik, Sadia Zahid Malik.The news paper celebrated its 24th birthday this year.The head office is in the capital city Islamabad and it has 4 other office in Karachi, lahore, Peshawar, and muzafarabad. Mr Abdus Satter Former Foreign Minister is the lead current affairs analyst of this newespaper.He focuses on international security.
