Paddy Benson

The Ven. George Patrick (Paddy) Benson, BA (born 26 June 1949 in Derby) has been Archdeacon of Hereford^[1] since 2011.^[2]

Benson was educated at Bemrose School and Christ Church, Oxford. He was an Editorial Assistant then Director of Academic Studies at St Andrew’s College, Kabare in Kenya. He trained for ordination at Trinity College, Bristol and was priested in 1992. After a curacy at St Mary Upton, Wirrall he was Vicar of Christ Church, Barnston in the same area^[3] until his appointment as Archdeacon.^[4]
