Overfed & Undernourished is a health and lifestyle documentary that examines a global epidemic and modern lifestyles through one boy's inspiring and personal journey to regain his health from the inside out.

The film is interspersed with interviews and advice from leading health and wellbeing experts from around the globe, providing simple solutions to improve the quality of our lives, and ultimately asking the fundamental question… Are we really nourishing ourselves?[1]

The film features Joe Cross (Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead), Dr. John Demartini (The Secret), Don Tolman and Dr. Arne Rubinstein[2]

Reception

The film has received mostly positive reviews with the movie database and review aggregation site IMDb rating the film 7.3/10 from 148 users. The Irish Film Critic James McDonald rated it 5 stars and stated that the film is "essential viewing" and "very highly recommended".[3] Sarah Michelle said "This is a film every parent should see — but it’s not just for parents — it’s for caregivers, teachers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who should all be aware of the health responsibility we have on the children in our lives".[4] Larina Robinson from The Body Dietetics said "Everyone should watch this if they want to improve their health and enhance their knowledge about the food supply and the power of a healthy lifestyle".[5]

Distribution

On 21 May 2014 the film had its World Premiere on the Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia. Subsequently it premiered around Australia in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane and was made available on DVD and video on demand via the official website.

In 2015 Worldwide video on demand and Broadcast rights were secured by Gravitas Ventures. US & Canadian DVD & Non-theatrical distribution rights were picked up by Passion River. Evolvee retained Rest of world DVD & Non-theatrical distribution rights.
