Slovakia – landlocked sovereign country located in Central Europe.[1] Slovakia has a population of over five million and an area of 49,035 square kilometres (18,933 sq mi). The Slovak Republic borders the Czech Republic and Austria to the west, Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east and Hungary to the south. The largest city is its capital, Bratislava. It is a member of the European Union.
