OnRamp Fellowship is an American re-entry platform which matches women returning to work in the legal, financial services, and other industries. The fellowship program works with over 25 law firms, legal departments, and financial services firms. Over 225 fellowships have been posted in 33 locations globally.

History

OnRamp was founded by Caren Ulrich Stacy[1][2][3] in 2014 to give women re-entering the legal profession a fellowship with a law firm. At its establishment, law firms Sidley Austin, Cooley LLP, Baker Botts, and Hogan Lovells participated in the program, and 15 additional firms joined shortly after.[4][5][6] In September 2015, six law firms joined the program including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, Morrison & Foerster, Loeb & Loeb, Stoel Rives, Wiley Rein, and Wilson Elser. Amazon's legal department and Barclays' compliance division also joined the program.[4][7][8]

Program

Women returning to the workforce after an extended hiatus are matched with a law firm, legal department, or financial services firm that meets their needs.[9][5] The program includes a yearly salary for a fellowship that can last up to a year with the possibility of being hired by the company when the fellowship ends.[1][5][2] OnRamp also gives fellows unlimited access to continuing education services online, training from business development experts, and access to a partner adviser.[10] In order to apply to the program, participants must have at least three years of legal experience and have been on hiatus for at least two years.[8][11]
