OVHD or OpenView HD is a Free To View Direct Broadcast Satellite television provider in South Africa which is powered by e.tv. It was launched on 15 October 2013 on e.tv's 15th birthday celebration. To celebrate, e.tv awarded OpenView HD with four new channels which are eMovies+, eNolly+ (previously called eAfrica+), eToonz+ and eKasi+ which are free to air channels. On 12 October 2016 another channel was added to the line up; eMovies Extra, replacing Ekurhuleni TV. It is owned by Platco Digital and has sister channels with e.tv.[1] It has 20 channels and seven FM radio channels. It is the first satellite TV provider to offer free channels in South Africa with no monthly payments. Customers only pay once for the set top box and have a lifetime access to free digital channels.

SABC1 (Channel 101)

The first state owned local channel owned by the South African Broadcasting Corporation. It mainly forcuses on local entertainment, music and lifestyle and educational programs.

SABC2 (Channel 102)

The second state owned local channel owned by the South African Broadcasting Corporation, which mainly focuses on sports, news, soaps etc.

SABC3 (Channel 103)

The third state owned local channel owned by the South African Broadcasting Corporation, which mainly focuses on international and local movies and soaps mostly in English.

e.tv or eHD (Channel 104)

The first free-to-air channel and the largest English spoken channel in South Africa. It mainly focuses on international movies and local soaps and it also broadcasts international contents like WWE.[4]

eKasi+ (Channel 105)

A local channel operated by e.tv which mainly focuses on township (kasi) lifestyle, sports and music. It also broadcasts movies and other international contents and sports.

eMovies+ (Channel 106)

A movie channel powered by e.tv which only broadcasts international movies, including action, romance, comedy, family and drama.

eMovies Extra (Channel 107)

A movie channel powered by e.tv which only broadcasts international blockbuster movies, including action, romance, comedy, family and drama.

Glow TV (Channel 108)

A channel that broadcasts Bollywood (Indian) contents.[5] The languages are configured into English from its original Indian languages. It broadcasts hit soaps such as This is Love and Saras.[6]

eNolly+ (Channel 109)

A local channel which broadcasts African contents especially Nollywood. The channel was first branded as eAfrica+ and rebranded later to eNolly+.[7]

ASTV (Discontinued)

A local South African channel that broadcasts contents only in Afrikaans.

Deen TV (Channel 152)

An local Islamic ethos channel.

Wild TV Africa (Discontinued)

Wild TV Africa is a wildlife channel that mainly broadcasts animal hunting, fishing and nature.

Trace Sports Stars (channel 154)

A global entertainment channel dedicated to the lives of stars in the world of sports.[8]

eToonz+ (Channel 200)

A kids channel owned by e.tv which broadcasts children cartoons.

Mindset (Channel 201)

A learning and educational channel from the Mindset Network. It is used to educate students from home and teaches subjects like mathematics, maths literacy, science, accounting etc. for high school pupils in grade 8–12.

Da Vinci Learning (Channel 202)

An international learning channel which broadcasts learning shows for children. The shows are also presented by children.

Spirit Word (Discontinued)

A local Christian channel which broadcasts live and taped transmissions, preaching, prayers and gospel.

Shembe Unyazi (Channel 254)

A local channel which broadcasts Shembe contents for Shembe people.

Ekurhuleni TV (Discontinued)

A local township channel which broadcasts township shows and international contents, music and local entertainment.

INI TV (Channel 299)

A local Christian channel which broadcasts live and taped transmissions, preaching, prayers and gospel.

Beatlab TV (Channel 500)

A local music channel operated by e.tv which broadcasts local and international music.

Kruiskyk TV (Channel 901)

A local channel which broadcasts Afrikaans contents.
