Niwari (Vidhan Sabha constituency)

Niwari Vidhan Sabha constituency (Hindi: निवाड़ी विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India.[1] This constituency came into existence in 1951, as one of the 48 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Vindhya Pradesh state.[2]

Overview

Niwari (constituency number 46) is one of the 5 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Tikamgarh district. This constituency covers the entire Niwari tehsil and part of Prithvipur tehsil of the district.[3]

Niwari is part of Tikamgarh Lok Sabha constituency along with seven other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, Jatara, Prithvipur, Tikamgarh and Khargapur in this district and Maharajpur, Chhatarpur and Bijawar in Chhatarpur district.[3]
