Nephrurus stellatus is a species of lizard, a gecko in the family Carphodactylidae. N. stellatus is endemic to southern Australia.[1]
Geographic range
N. stellatus is found in the arid regions of the Eyre Peninsula and southern Western Australia.[1]
The holotype was collected near Southern Cross, Western Australia.[1]
Common names
Several common names are applied to this species, including starry knob-tail, stellate knob-tail, and southern knob-tailed gecko.[1]
Taxonomy
The original description of this species was by Glen Milton Storr in 1968.[1]
