Mountain Collective is a company that provides season passes to its member winter resorts.

Founding and overview

The Mountain Collective provides annual ski passes that provide skiing and snowboarding at its member resorts,^[1] with its first member resorts including Aspen.^[2] The passes are produced by Liftopia, and originally included four resort areas,^[3] including eight mountains.^[4] As of the 2016/17 season, the passes included mountains as twelve resort areas in Europe, South America, Asia, and North America.^[5]

Members

During the 2015-16 season the company’s member resort areas included Sun Valley in Idaho; Mammoth Mountain, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows in California; Alta and Snowbird in Utah; Aspen/Snowmass in Colorado; Jackson Hole in Wyoming;^[1] Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine in Alberta (which joined the previous year);^[6] as well as Whistler-Blackcomb in British Columbia;^[7][8] Stowe in Vermont; Taos Ski Valley in New Mexico;^[9] and Thredbo in Australia (each added for the 2015-16 season).^[10] The pass included two days per resort and a discount on further days at any of them, such as a percentage off regular fees.^[11] Non-North American affiliate resorts that Mountain Collective provide two annual passes to include Valle Nevado in Chile; ^[12] Chamonix, France; ^[13] and Hakuba Valley, Japan. In the 2016-17 season, Ski Queenstown/Coronet Peak/The Remarkables in New Zealand will be added to the Mountain Collective pass as well.^[14]
