Minster (Reading ward)

Minster is an electoral ward of the Borough of Reading, in the English county of Berkshire.^[1] It south-west of the town centre, straddling the canalised River Kennet. It is bordered clockwise by Battle, Abbey, Katesgrove, Whitley and Southcote wards.^[2]

As with all wards, apart from smaller Mapledurham, it elects three councillors to Reading Borough Council. Elections since 2004 are held by thirds, with elections in three years out of four.

Since 2010 a Labour Party or Labour and Co-operative Party candidate has won every election, namely in 2011, 2012 and 2014.

These Councillors are currently, in order of election: Paul Gittings (Lab), Liz Terry (Lab and Coop) and Marian Livingston (Lab).^[3]
