Michael Vavrus, PhD., is a faculty member at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in the areas of teacher education and political economy.[1] He is the past president of the Washington Association of Colleges for Teacher Education[2] and the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education.[3] He is also the past director of the Masters in Teaching Program at The Evergreen State College, and the founding past president of CommonAction.[4]
Vavrus is the author of Transforming the Multicultural Education of Teachers: Theory, Research, and Practice., which was published by Teachers College Press in 2002.
