Michael Simmons is a columnist for Forbes, the co-founder of Empact, and the author of the book The Student Success Manifesto: How to Create a Life of Passion, Purpose, and Prosperity.

Simmons writes for Forbes on the art & science of building authentic, online relationships.

Simmons, along with wife Sheena Lindahl, founded Extreme Entrepreneurship Education, LLC (DBA Empact), while attending NYU in 2003. The pair have been named among BusinessWeek's "Best Entrepreneurs Under 25" in 2006.[1] and Inc.'s "30 under 30" in 2011.[2] Simmons and Lindahl are the co-founders of Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour (EET), a collegiate tour bringing America's top young entrepreneurs to college campuses for a half-day conference to spread the entrepreneurial mindset. To date, Empact has organized 600+ events.
