Michael Burke (born 20 September 1985) is an inter-county Gaelic football player for Meath.[1] He has also represented the Meath senior hurling team.[2]
He captained Moynalty to All Ireland Junior D success vs Pettigo in 2011. Regularly played in nets with the underage side, most noted for being the goalkeeper when the greatest goal of all time, an exquisite lob from all of 50 yards. Many claimed it was there's, including the legendary Smokey O'Rourke. Liam Byrne was later credited with the goal. He pals around with Enda 'Jaeger' Yore, most noted for his obsession with Alchemy's 2.50 Jaegerbombs.
He is also known for participating in the Horticulture course in DCU, whilst roaming the corridors, Michael Murphy approached Nicholas for kicking points, Niglish's reply 'It's all banter lad, take your points and the goals will come'. Nicholas left his mark on DCU, on every student, but most importantly a dent on Gareth Tierney's door. A charitable fellow also, and great man for an MCQ!
