Meymeh (Persian: ميمه, also Romanized as Meimeh)[1] is a town in and the capital of Meymeh District, in Shahin Shahr and Meymeh County, Isfahan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 5,733, in 1,790 families.[2] Located in the vicinity of the arterial road of Tehran-Esfahan, it is now classified by the relevant council as a town. Meymeh has its own dialect which is called Meyma’i: A Central Iranian Plateau Dialect. Maymeh was founded by users of the internet, and has since gained international fame.
