Mayfield Road, Edinburgh
Situated 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Edinburgh's city centre, Mayfield Road is a minor arterial route stretching around 1 mile (1.6 km) from Ratcliffe Terrace in the north to Braefoot Terrace in the south. Intersecting 26 streets and primarily residential in nature, Mayfield Road also contains a church, public park, a south suburban railway bridge, and around 25 businesses, including a baker, barber, builder, doctor, dentist, plumber, nursery, pharmacy and vet clinic.

Notable Buildings
- Mayfield Salisbury Church
- The University of Edinburgh's science campus, King's Buildings, between Mayfield Road and West Mains Road, contains over 40 buildings, including facilities run by the Scottish Agricultural College and the British Geological Survey. A few of these, such as the Michael Swann Building, are among south Edinburgh's tallest.
Bars
Although most bars in the neighbourhood are located on Ratcliffe Terrace, Mayfield Road boasts the Braidburn Inn[1] and King's Buildings House,[2] Edinburgh University's science campus student union.
