Marand County (Persian: شهرستان مرند) is a county in East Azerbaijan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Marand. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 229,215, in 59,097 families.[1] The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Yamchi District. The county has seven cities: Marand, Jolfa, Alamdar-Gargar, Bonab Jadid, Koshksaray, Yamchi, and Zonuz.
