Loxostege allectalis is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Grote in 1877.[1] It is found in the United States, where it has been recorded from southern California to Texas.[2] South, the range extends into Mexico and Central America.
The wingspan is 21-26 mm. The forewings are a mixture of speckled grey and brown patches and dark brownish spots in the median area. The terminal line consists of a series of dark dashes. The hindwings are brownish-grey. Adults are on wing from March to September.
The larvae feed on Lycium berlandieri.[3]
