The Litz River originates from a 7-part spring near the „Fresch Alpe“ on approximately 1,800 m above sea level. Another part of the water comes from the Lake „Langsee“, which seeps subterraneously into the Litz.
In the course of time the river created the „Silver Valley“ in a slightly bellied river course. From the right side comes the Gaflunerbach (Length: 6.5 km) out of the „Gafluner Valley“. After the River has overcome about 22 km, it finally merges with the Ill in Schruns.
