List of mayors of Vincent
This is a list of mayors of the City of Vincent. Between 1994 and 2011 the city was known as the Town of Vincent. The city is located on the edge of inner city Perth, Western Australia and includes surrounding suburbs. There have been five mayors of Vincent - Jack Marks, John Hyde, Nick Catania, Alannah MacTiernan and John Carey. Hyde, Catania and MacTiernan and are all former Australian Labor Party members of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly - Hyde served as mayor before entering Parliament, while Catania and MacTiernan served after leaving the state parliament.[1][2][3] Cary is seeking Labor preselection for the seat of Perth at the next state election.[4]
