Three additional films have been announced, without release dates.[6] A Fantastic Four sequel was announced in March 2014 by 20th Century Fox before filming began on the 2015 film for a July 14, 2017 release,[13] though it was removed from Fox's schedule in November 2015.[14] Gambit was announced in October 2014 by 20th Century Fox,[15] and was scheduled to begin filming in early 2017,[16] before losing its director for second time in August 2016.[17] A sequel to Deadpool was green lit by Fox in February 2016.[18]
