List of IMG Academy alumni

The following is a list of notable alumni of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Founded in 1978, the academy trains thousands of youth, high school, collegiate and professional athletes annually.^[1] Many of the alumni listed below did not attend or graduate IMG academy, but participated in training there.

Baseball

IMG Academy High School / full-time baseball program alumni

• Brady Aiken, drafted by the Houston Astros as the first pick of the 2014 MLB Draft, but did not sign; 17th pick of the 2015 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians
• Alfredo L. Escalera, drafted by the Kansas City Royals as the youngest player ever drafted in major league history^[2]
• L. J. Mazzilli, drafted by the New York Mets in 2013^[3]
• John Ryan Murphy, drafted to the New York Yankees in round 2 of the 2009 MLB draft
• Tyler Pastornicky, drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2008; currently playing in the Texas Rangers organization
• Chris Perez, drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2008 and has been a two-time All-Star in 2011 and 2012

• Pedro Álvarez, 2010 National League Rookie of the Month for September; 3B for the Orioles
• Mark Buehrle, part of the World Series champion team in 2005; four-time All-Star and Gold Glove Award winner
• Pat Burrell, two-time World Series Champion and Golden Spikes award recipient
• Ian Desmond, 2012 MLB All-Star and Silver Slugger Award recipient
• Adam Dunn, two-time MLB All-Star; has played with the Cincinnati Reds, Washington Nationals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox, and Oakland Athletics
• Nomar Garciaparra, six-time All-Star shortstop; has played for the Boston Red Sox, Oakland A's, LA Dodgers and Chicago Cubs
• Josh Hamilton, five-time MLB All-Star and 2010 AL Most Valuable Player
• Kyle Kendrick, pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, won a World Series Championship with the organization in 2008
• Joe Mauer, five-time MLB All-Star, three-time AL batting champion, three-time Gold Glove award winner and four-time Silver Slugger award winner
• Andrew McCutchen, three-time All-Star, Gold Glove Award (2012), Silver Slugger Award (2012) and National League Most Outstanding Player (2012), NL MVP (2013)
• Jamie Moyer, selected to the All-Star team in 2003; received the Roberto Clemente and Lou Gehrig Awards
• Gary Sheffield, nine-time MLB All-Star, World Series Champion in 1997, five-time Silver Slugger Award winner and 1992 Comeback Player of the Year
• Joey Votto, winner of the 2010 National League MVP Award, the National League Hank Aaron Award, and the Lou Marsh Trophy as Canada's athlete of the year
• Neil Walker, 2010 Baseball America's All-Rookie Team
• Vernon Wells, three-time MLB All-Star, three-time Gold Glove Award recipient and Silver Slugger Award winner
• Ryan Zimmerman, 2009 All-Star, Gold Glove Award recipient, and Lou Gehrig Memorial Award winner

• Renaldo Balkman, former forward for the New York Knicks.^[4]
• Michael Beasley, currently power and small forward for the Houston Rockets; former forward for the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns, as well as the Shanghai Sharks and Shandong Golden Stars in China^[5]
• Satnam Singh Bhamara, center playing for the Texas Legends; the first ever Indian to get selected in the NBA (drafted by the Dallas Mavericks)
• Ramel Bradley, currently playing for Hapoel Holon in the Israeli Super League
• Earl Clark, forward for the Delaware 87ers^[6]
• Erick Dampier, former professional basketball player who last played for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA
• Taurean Green, currently plays point guard in Spain for CB Gran Canaria; drafted in the 2nd round (52nd overall) in 2007 by the Portland Trail Blazers; also played for the Denver Nuggets
• Ricky Sanchez, drafted in the 2nd round of the 2005 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets; currently plays for the Santurce Crabbers of the National Superior Basketball League of Puerto Rico

• Michael Clayton, former wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants
• Marc Colombo, former offensive tackle for the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins
• Angelo Crowell, former linebacker, drafted in the 3rd round (94th overall) in 2003, played for the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers
• Martin Gramatica, former kicker, drafted in the 3rd round (80th overall) in 1999, played for Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints
• Mike Jenkins, current cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
• Julius Jones, former running back for the Dallas Cowboys
• Chris Kelsay, former defensive end for the Buffalo Bills, drafted in the 2nd round (48th overall) in 2003
• Heath Miller, former tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers
• Dan Morgan, former linebacker, drafted in the 1st round (11th overall) in 2001, played for the Carolina Panthers
