Les Gock
Les Gock (born 1954) originally came to prominence when he joined the Australian band Hush in 1972.[1][2] As well as being a guitarist, Gock was also a writer and co-producer, receiving 12 gold records during his time with the band.[3] After leaving Hush, Gock became a music and sound design director in film and television soundtracks, receiving industry recognition in the form of Gold Clios, Facts Awards, and New York International Advertising Festival Awards.[3]
Gock founded Song Zu, a music and sound design company.[4] He sold the business in 2001 and continues working with his new business, Les Gock Sound Thinking, which specialises in audio branding.[4][5] He has been Chairman of the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association (AWARD) and is currently Chairman of the Commercial Music Producers Association (CMPA).[3]
Gock went to Sydney Technical High School.
Gock is married to Margaret and they have two adult sons, Adam and Chad.
Gock now mentors distant relatives Daniel and Angela Gock.
