Lafarge Lake–Douglas is the outbound terminus station of the Evergreen Extension of the Millennium Line. It is located in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, just northeast of the Pinetree Way/Guildford Way intersection, and serves the David Lam campus of Douglas College and Coquitlam Town Centre. The station features 150 "Park and Ride" parking spaces managed by the City of Coquitlam.[1][2]
History
Work to prepare for the construction of Lafarge Lake–Douglas station began in early July 2013.[3] In January 2014, the whole area of the future station was fenced off. Active construction commenced in August 2013, including utility work and work to create the foundations for the support structures of the guideway. In September 2016, the elevated guideway and station area were completed, followed by construction of the station plaza.
Lafarge Lake–Douglas station opened for service on December 2, 2016 along with the rest of the extension.[4][5][6]
