Kruncha and Nuckal are two undead skeleton generals of the fictional Skulkin army in the Lego Ninjago toy line as well as the television series. In the show, they are comedy relief as they are always seen bickering at each other. Despite the Skulkin being replaced by the Serpentine in the 2012 series of toys, the two have made frequent appearances in the TV show.

Appearance and personality

Kruncha wears a grey helmet over his head and has a monocle on his left eye. The monocole only appears on his toy variant and is not seen in the show. He also wears large grey and black armor that covers his shoulders. Kruncha is intelligent and serious.

Nuckal has beige spikes on his head and a metal eye-patch on his left eye. His armor is smaller than Kruncha's and is blue instead of grey. Nuckal is dim and goofy, often leading to Kruncha starting an argument.

In Ninjago: Master's of Spinjitzu

The duo first appeared in the pilot episodes with minor roles as antagonists and comedy relief making little interactions with the ninja. The pair made their first cameo appearances in the series first season episode "Never Trust a Snake" in which they are teachers at Lloyd's old boarding school. It is also revealed in the episode that, despite their few interactions with the pair, the ninja appear to be aware of their existence since Cole calls them by their names. After this, they made cameos in the episodes "Tick Tock" and "The Royal Blacksmiths" until their major appearance in "All of Nothing" where they aid the ninja in fighting the Serpentine. Their final appearance in the season was "Day of the Great Devourer".

In season two, Nuckal made a cameo in the episode "Double Trouble" with out Kruncha. The two were then given a major role in "Ninjaball Run" where they are competing in the Ninjaball Run race. Their last cameo appearances were in "Wrong Place, Wrong Time", and "The Last Voyage".
