Kiss in the Dark (K.I.D.)[1][2][3] was a Pop Band (Duo) from Zürich, Switzerland formed 1986 by Kilian Albert Merz (DJKAM) and Thomas Krucker, signed 1988 worldwide with Phonogram Records GmbH (Mercury Records)[4][5][6] in Germany. In the late 80's/early 90's K.I.D. had several chart successes ("The Phonecall",[7] "Backfield in Motion"[8]) in Western Europe, in particular Germany and Switzerland. Most of K.I.D.'s music was recorded and produced at Sigma Sound Studios[9] in New York City, working with today's Grammy winner and audio engineer/producer Tony Maserati[10] (Mirrorball Entertainment, LLC in L.A.).
