Kingston City is the third studio album by the Brooklyn-based reggae band New Kingston. Released on January 27, 2015 by Easy Star Records,[2] it was their first album on the label.[3] The album features guest artists such as Tribal Seeds, France’s Dub Inc, Sister Carol, The Wailing Souls, Sugar Minott,[2] and Hawaiian artist Kimie Miner.[4]
It reached No.1 on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums chart the week of February 14, 2015.[5] As of March 29, 2015, the album was still at No. 1.[6] It met with largely positive reviews from reggae publications. The Pier Magazine gave Kingston City four of five stars, and wrote that the album is "a mix of roots, dancehall, R&B and hip hop influences."[1]
