Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani
Not to be confused with Khalid bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani.
Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani is a Qatari drag racer. He is the first Qatari to drive a Formula One car,[1] and is the owner of Al-Annabi Racing. He is a son of the former emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.[2] In 2009, he invested around $10 million in Al-Anabi Racing in an attempt to promote Qatar's national image in the drag racing scene.[3] He is sometimes referred to as the "patron sheikh" in the press.[4]
In September 2015 recordings were made of a Ferrari belonging to Al Thani driving dangerously in Beverly Hills.[5]
