Joanna Mitrosz (born 21 August 1988 in Gdynia, Poland), is a Polish rhythmic gymnast.[1]

Career

Mitrosz competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics and placed 16th at the qualifications; she did not advance into the finals. She broke into the top 12 at World and European level in 2009, but since then she has found a lot of poor reception from fans of rhythmic gymnastics to be placed as an elite gymnast, while having routines with low technical value. She had her highest placement at the 2011 World Championships finishing 8th in the all-around.[2]

Mitrosz's top-10 placement in the all-around final in London 2012 spurred a lot of negative reception as fan favourites like Melitina Staniouta, Deng Senyue and Delphine Ledoux were left out of the Top 10 Finals in favor of Mitrosz.

Mitrosz married in late 2012 and decided to complete her career in 2013.
