Jim Tolle is the Pastor of El Camino Metro Church www.elcaminometro.com in Los Angeles, which offers services in both Spanish and English. Previously, he had pastored The Church On The Way, a very well known congregation in the city, which became one of the largest multicultural churches in the United States at that time. In February 2013, Jim began El Camino Metro Church after being asked to start more churches in the Los Angeles metropolitan region. With thousands of members, the church offers services in both English and Spanish. Trained and mentored by the well-known pastor, Dr. Jack W. Hayford, Pastor Jim and his staff have also started 40 other churches and he is one of the community leaders in the city of Los Angeles who lead the Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.

Jim Tolle was ordained a pastor in the Foursquare denomination and has served in numerous capacities with them including that of being a church planter in Colombia and Argentina, an overseer of all the Spanish-speaking churches in the United States and as the International Director of their global outreach.

Jim is also well known as a radio host with his daily Spanish language program “Respuestas” which airs twice daily, reaching millions across the U.S. on the Radio Nueva Vida network and scores of independent stations. He is often called upon to share his insights with the media and has been interviewed for print media, as well as radio and television, including CBN, CNN, Fox Español and Univisión. His influence has also extended to Washington, D.C., where he has testified before Congress.[1] Pastor Jim also serves on the board of directors of numerous organizations, including the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE),[2] the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Council (NHCLC),[3] who has honored him with their “Pastor of the Year” Award,[4] and the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. [5]

Jim is also the college president of El Camino Christian College, an institution founded in 2014 by El Camino Metro Church which helps low-income students obtain a college degree.

In his early adult years, Jim Tolle served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was an entrepreneur, starting a number of successful small businesses. He holds numerous degrees, both earned and honorary. Pastor Jim and his wife, Alice, live in Los Angeles, near their sons and their families.
