Jeganathan, also known as Jegan, (born on 28 October 1956 in Thondaimanaru) was one of the members of former Tamil militant organization TELO from Sri Lanka. He was arrested and sentenced to death and was killed in the 1983 Welikada prison massacre,[1] along with the TELO leaders Nadarajah Thangathurai & Selvarajah Yogachandran. At court he claimed "I am innocent. The Army and the C.I.D. Police tortured me and obtained my signatures on some documents and produced the documents in this court falsely as my statement. I have been convicted on this false evidence. I can be hanged....".[1]
