Jasmin Nicole Short (born 28 May 1994 in Radcliffe) is a British double-mini trampolinist, representing her nation at international competitions. She competed at world championships, including at the 2014 Trampoline World Championships where she won the silver medal in the individual double-mini event and at the 2015 Trampoline World Championships, where she won the silver medal both in the double mini individual and the team event.[1][2]
She began gymnastics at age two and moved on to trampoline at age nine. Her mother got her involved in the sport. In 2012 she changed to double-mini trampoline. In 2012 she was approached by the national coach of the double-mini trampoline programme who advised her to give it a try.
At age 13 she decided to take a break from the sport for 18 months due to anxiety issues and returned at age 15. After she missed out on a bronze medal at the 2012 European Junior Championships in St Petersburg, Russia, she suffered a lack of confidence and instead decided to try the double-mini trampoline.
Personal
Her sister Natasha Short has competed in trampoline gymnastics at junior international level. She studied Sports psychology at the Liverpool John Moores University.
