Jas Binag

Jas Binag (born 16 April) is an Indo-British Actor/Model. He first appeared on Channel 4's "Bollywood Star" and later performed in many Theatre Plays including the Pulitzer Prize nominated play "A Perfect Ganesh" written by Terrance McNally directed by Samir Bhamra. He has featured in many Television advertisements with Bollywood celebrities like Katrina Kaif and Madhuri Dixit. He has acted in films such as; Kaam Ka Plot, Graveyard Shift and recently working on"Souten 2" by Saawan Kumar Tak.

Early life

Jas was born in the city of Birmingham in England. He moved with his family to Hertfordshire when he was 9 years old. He studied at Hitchin Boy's Grammar School and later progressed to University where he achieved an honours degree in Law.

Acting career

He began his acting career in Bollywood Star series by Channel 4.[1] He shifted his focus to theatre and stage, and starred as the lead actor in productions such as Precious Bazaar written by Samir Bhamra, contemporary adaptations of William Shakespeare plays like What You Fancy, Romeo & Laila, and A Perfect Ganesh. In 2009 he shifted base to Mumbai and appeared in many Television Adverts for brands such as LG, Oral B, Veet, Chevrolet, Mobilink, Vaseline, Pel, Economic Times...

He has acted in Minty Tejpals "Kaam Ka Plot" playing opposite Sandhya Mridul. His second movie in Bollywood was "Graveyard Shift" were he portrayed a troubled Boxer. Currently his working on Saawan Kumars "Souten 2".

He is also part of the Bollywood All Stars charity football team raising funds for "Magic Bus". Magic Bus moves children out of poverty by nurturing them on a journey from childhood to livelihood.
