Jappa (Urdu: جپه) is tribe living in the area of Rabwah Chiniot & Okara District, Jhang District and Okara District. It is a warrior family and coming from the past era of Mughal emperors.
Etymology
Jappa is originated as a name of a tribe from the name of their forefather JAPPA a son of Jutt from (Rajpote) caste and their more population resides in Bhawana Tehsil. It is considered the warrior family of Jhang and Chiniot districts.
History
Jappas are named as Rajpote also due to their origin as a sub cast on the name of their forefather . They are separated and become famous as a separate family on their special reputated abilities and features as new castes such as Jappa, Rajoka and some others.
