Jamie Borthwick is a Scottish broadcast journalist, television presenter and producer. He is currently a Sports Reporter for STV News across Scotland.
Borthwick's work entails reporting on a wide variety Scottish sports stories for all STV News programmes. He also acts as relief Sport presenter on STV News at Six in the East regions.
Borthwick studied English Literature at the University of Edinburgh from 2002 until 2007. He then graduated with a postgraduate diploma in Journalism from the University of Strathclyde in 2008. [1]
After leaving university, Borthwick worked at Clyde and Forth Press as a reporter for two years, before taking a job with STV in 2010. Here, Borthwick worked on the STV Local websites, mainly STV Motherwell - as a Community Editor. After the closure of the hyper-local websites, Borthwick moved to the STV Sport team, firstly as a Sports reporter for the STV Sport website. He was then promoted to Sports reporter for STV News programmes across all regions in Scotland in 2012. In this role, Borthwick also occasionally acts as relief Sports presenter on the East edition of STV News at Six.
