James Shanes (born 17 March 1997) is a British Motorcycle Racer[1] and competes in Grasstrack, Longtrack and Speedway. He is the current British Masters Grasstrack champion and rides for the Poole Pirates Speedway team.
Career
Shanes was born in Dorchester. He was a successful youth Grasstrack rider and won the British Under 21 title in 2014. He then became the youngest winner of the British Masters Championship in 2015. He successively defend the title a year later. In 2016 he also became the youngest rider to become European Grasstrack champion with success at Folkestone.
