Hussein M. Zbib

Hussein M. Zbib (born 1958 in Beirut, Lebanon) is a professor of mechanical and materials science engineering at Washington State University, where he has also served as Director of the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, and Director of the Computational Mechanics and Materials Laboratory.[1] His research expertise is in the area of thermo-mechanical behavior and properties of solids. He is recognized for his work on the theory of dislocation dynamics and defects in metals. He has previously served as the Editor of the "Journal of Engineering Materials and Technology".[2]

Zbib received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics from Michigan Technical University in 1987. He joined the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Washington State University in 1988.[3]
