Human knot (contortion)

The human knot is a type of contortion pose performed by frontbend contortionists. It consists of positioning the knees behind the shoulders and crossing the ankles behind the head or the mid-back.

In yoga, 'human knot' may refer to the positions known as Eka Pada Sirsasana or Dwi Pada Sirsasana.
