The ninth cycle of Holland's Next Top Model premiered on 30 August 2016.[1] Like the three previous seasons, this cycle is hosted by Anouk Smulders. May-Britt Mobach and Dirk Kikstra did not return as judges this season and were replaced with fashion blogger Anna Nooshin and fashion photographer Alek Bruessing.[2][3] Fred van Leer continues his role contestants' coach and also sit on the judging this cycle as well. This year, the cast consists of 12 contestants, with the international destination being set in Ibiza. The winner of the season was the 20 year old Frisian Akke Marije Marinus.

- The models' placement in the call-out does not reflect how well they performed in the photo shoot. The bottom two does, however, represent the worst performing models in danger of being eliminated.
- In episode 1, there was no panel. Anouk arrived at the model house to show the contestants footage from the opening sequence. The model not featured in the footage was eliminated from the competition.
- In episode 2, Cherie decided to quit the competition whilst being in the bottom three.
- Episodes 7, 8 and 9 were held in a live studio. Episodes 7 and 8 featured rounds of public voting, that began at the start of each episode. The episodes began by going over previously filmed footage of the contestants taking part in photo shoots shot in Ibiza, later switching to eliminations in real-time at the studio based entirely on the viewer vote. Episode 9 was the finale.
