Halifax Vandals
Halifax Vandals RUFC are a rugby union team currently playing in Yorkshire division 3 and was founded in 1923.
The official club colours are royal blue and white hooped shirts, navy blue shorts and royal blue and white hooped socks.
The Warley based club have a long-standing rivalry with Old Rishworthians who play in Yorkshire division 2. Vandals will renew a rivalry with Halifax RUFC in the 2016-2017 season following promotion to Yorkshire division 3.
Halifax Vandals have a modern, purpose built club with 4 large changining rooms, each with their own showers, a referees room with shower and physio / first aid room. The club also has a function room and bar, overlooking the first team pitch which is used for pre / post match hospitality.
Halifax Vandals welcomed Jamie Bloem as new player coach for the 2013/2014 season. Jamie comes with plenty of experience in both codes of the game playing international rugby league for South Africa and Scotland. Bloem signed on for another 3 years as Vandals head coach, following the promotion winning 2015/16 season.
Vandals won promotion as champions of Yorkshire Division 4 in the 2015/16 season, losing only 3 games all season.
Junior section
Halifax Vandals RUFC have a thriving mini/junior section, which started in the 2013-2014 season.
Initially, an under 6 group is being run by Liam McDonald and 1st Team captain Paul Jowett.
