The Granville Female College was a historical women's college located in Granville, Ohio, United States. It was established in 1827 and closed in 1898.

From the 1896 Annual Circular and Catalog "Granville Female College was founded in 1827 and is therefore the oldest school for the education of young women in the State. It was founded and is held in trust by those who are connected by membership or doctrinal sympathy with the Presbyterian Church, and from the beginning its object has been to afford young women a generous and thorough culture founded upon Christian principles. This aim, steadily pursued, has had its expression and realization in many hundreds who have enjoyed its advantages and experienced its moulding power, and has enabled the Institution to maintain the high position it has long occupied among the institutions for the education of young women"

It moved to its permanent location, today the home of the Granville Inn, in 1838.

In 1867, the name of the Institution was changed from Granville Academy to Granville Female College, the course of study was enlarged.[1]

In 1923, John Sutphin Jones, a coal and railroad magnate, commissioned the construction of the Granville Inn, a historic English manor inn in the Jacobethan Revival style on the site of the Granville Female College.[2]
