Georgina Leigh Bloomberg (born January 20, 1983) is the younger daughter of former New York City Mayor and billionaire Michael Bloomberg and Susan Brown. She is a professional equestrian, currently sponsored by Ariat International.[1]
Personal life
Bloomberg was born in Manhattan. She attended The Spence School and New York University.[2][3] Her sister, Emma, is four years older.
She has had relationships with show jumper Cian O'Connor and speed skater Joey Cheek.
On December 24, 2013, Georgina Bloomberg and her then boyfriend, Argentine equestrian Ramiro Quintana, became the parents of a son, Jasper Michael Brown Quintana.[4]
Her friends include Ivanka Trump, whose father Donald Trump has run for president and declared the President-elect of the United States on November 9, 2016. He is scheduled to take office as the 45th President on January 20, 2017. Georgina Bloomberg says: "I am good friends with two of Mr. Trump’s kids and no matter what happens in the presidential race, that won’t change... Donald has always been, and still is, a great father, and I know she is very proud of him and what he has accomplished."[5]
Career
Georgina was featured in the HBO documentary Born Rich, where she discussed what life is like as a billionaire heiress, alongside other heiresses such as Ivanka Trump.[6] Forbes magazine ranked her as one of the 20 "Most Intriguing Billionaire Heiresses".[7]
She lives part-time in Wellington, Florida, where her father and mother both own homes.[8]
In November 2010, Bloomberg suffered a small concussion and fractured a vertebra during a horse show accident. She announced days later that despite the accident, she was eager to return to the sport.[9]
