George Vose

George Vose, (born 4 October 1912 – 20 June 1981) in St Helens), was an English football half back. In his early days, he played for Peasley Cross Athletic and Everton F.C. on a trial basis. In August 1932, he was sold to Manchester United. During his United career, he scored 1 goal in 209 appearances, finally retiring in 1946 after new manager Matt Busby started to build a new team with younger players such as Allenby Chilton and Johnny Carey.

Vose died in June 1981 at the age of 68.
