Genesis Mining is a company based in Hong Kong and registered in Bermuda that sells mining contracts for bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. The company's main operation is in a secret Icelandic location. [1][2]

History

Genesis Mining was launched in February 2014.[3]

Services

Their services allow customers to purchase mining contracts, which allow them to mine Bitcoin and altcoin through a cloud-based computer network. Their mining farms are based in Iceland, Canada, and Bosnia. In March 2016 they launched Logos Fund which was reported by Reuters to be the world's first Bitcoin Mining Fund. Activism

In November 2015, they launched a nationwide awareness campaign in San Francisco, Chicago, Miami and LA which highlighted the benefits of using Bitcoin.[11][12] In January 2016, they launched a billboard at the Bitcoin Miami conference which mocked JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon about his comment “Silicon Valley is Coming to Eat Your Lunch”.[13][14]
