Gamma loop

A Gamma loop is a loop about alloys of steel. When adding additives to iron, a stable zone of austenite may increase or decrease. Some additives decrease the Austenite stable zone. In this case, the phase boundary becomes a loop. Adding Gamma loop additives prevents the steel from suffering phase transition to other solid states.[1]
