Frank Winterstein (born 17 December 1986) is an Australian-Samoan professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the National Rugby League.
Playing career
Winterstein previously played for Wakefield Trinity and Canterbury Bulldogs in the NRL.[2][3][4]
Winterstein has signed a 2-year deal at Super League new comers Widnes. On 29 October 2013 it was announced that Samoan World Cup squad member Winterstein has signed a 1-year deal at Super League giants Bradford.
Bradford Bulls
Winterstein signed a 1 Year Deal with the Bradford Bulls while he was playing in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup with Samoa. However he left to return home to Australia at the start of the season.
Manly Sea Eagles
After two seasons with the Kintetsu Liners in the Japanese rugby Top League competition and a short stint with the Australia national rugby sevens team, Winterstein returned to rugby league, signing with the Manly Sea Eagles for the remainder of the 2016 NRL season and the 2017 season. He made his his club debut in Round 24, against the Melbourne Storm at Brookvale Oval.[5]
Representative career
Winterstein has represented Samoa internationally, first playing in the Federation Shield in 2005.[6]
Personal Life
Winterstein is the cousin of North Queensland Cowboys winger Antonio Winterstein.[7]
