François Pestel

François Timothée Benjamin Pestel (13 December 1763 in Honfleur[1] – 1828[2]) was a French naval engineer of the Age of Sail.

Biography

Pestel notably worked on the Abeille-class brigs,[3] other brigs[4] and the Consolante-class frigates. By 1824, he was a Knight nn the orders of the Legion of Honour and of Saint-Louis.[5]
