Frédéric Monod
Frédéric Monod (1794-1863) was a French Protestant pastor.
The brother of Adolphe Monod, he was greatly influenced by Robert Haldane. Along with Count Gasparin, Monod founded the Union of the Evangelical Free Churches of France; his son, Théodore, (b. 1836) followed in his footsteps.
Naturalist and explorer Théodore André Monod is his great-grandson.
