Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica

Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo is a part of the Toronto-based Four Seasons luxury hotels and resorts. Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica, the only Four Seasons Resort in Central America, also offers Costa Rica's premier golf course according to Golf Digest.[1] It is located within the Guanacaste province, which borders the Pacific Ocean and offers Costa Rica's warmest climates throughout the year.

History

Completed in 2004, Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica was designed to reflect the nature around it. The resort is made of natural materials, mostly local lava rock, stone and Caña Brava (similar to bamboo) as well as woods from Guatemala and Nicaragua. Unavailable in Costa Rica, marble was imported from 18 countries, including Brazil and China. Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica was voted 46th by Travel + Leisure's 2006 World's Best Top 100 Resorts Awards Readers Poll[2] and ranks on the World's Top Resorts 2007/2008 by Zagat Survey. Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica currently houses 20 villas and 153 guest rooms, including suites.

Amenities

As with most Four Seasons properties, Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica is known for its services and amenities. The resort was constructed with a par-72 championship 18-hole premier golf course.[3] and is considered Costa Rica's top golf course by Golf Digest. Some other amenities include spa services ranked the best in Central America by Spa Finder,[4] three pools, and fitness facilities.
