Fernando Lopes Alcântara (Chinese: 費蘭度 Fernando; born March 28, 1987 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil), simply known as Fernando Lopes, is a Brazilian football playing with Tarxien Rainbows in Maltese Premier League. He can either play as central defender or defensive midfielder.
Personal life
Fernando has two elder brothers, Fábio Lopes and Fabrício Alcântara who are both professional footballers and have both played in Hong Kong.
Club career
He played in the Hong Kong First Division League for South China in 2009[1] and next year for Macedonian First League club FK Rabotnički.[2] In 2011 he signed with Sham Shui Po a club recently promoted to Hong Kong First Division. In 2012 he returned to Brazil and joined Bangu Atlético Clube playing in the Campeonato Carioca.[3]
Fernando has two older brothers, Fábio Lopes and Fabrício Alcântara who are both professional footballers and have both played in the Hong Kong league.
