Eskdale School is a coeducational secondary school located in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.[1] The school is named after Eskdale a valley that runs from Whitby to Westerdale.

It is a community school administered by North Yorkshire County Council. Eskdale School is unique in the area for having an 11 to 14 age range of pupils (a remnant of a three-tier education system that once operated in Whitby), and graduating pupils from Eskdale School currently have to join an alternative local secondary school (usually Caedmon College) to complete their compulsory education. However the governing body of Eskdale School has decided to increase the age range of pupils to 16 from September 2016.[2]
